   Weekly cut, kept short. Worth reading: the welcome, the search note, titles, login notes, and how to write a spotlight. If you only open two, make them search and titles. Those two prevent most of the junk we merge.

   The lounge check-in is the one I actually finish. The request desk is useful this week only because the twins got folded back into older threads instead of left as ghosts.

   Count from the desk: eleven duplicates merged, four titles rewritten so they can be searched, one thread moved to support because it was a login problem wearing a request’s clothes. Please stop using the desk as a help desk.

   Appreciate the rewritten titles. I was hunting a thread from last month and the old title was just “question???”. The new one names the subject. That is the whole game.

   Suggestion for next week’s roundup: link the maintenance note if the boards feel slow, so people stop opening “is it down” threads. Staff already said those posts do not get a faster answer than the notice.
