Use the report tool on the post itself and include the thread. Say which rule you think it breaks, in one or two sentences. If you are appealing a removal, say what was removed, when, and why you think the call was wrong. Quote the rule. Do not quote six people who are also angry. Staff reads the report queue and the notice board. Staff does not promise to catch a complaint that only exists as a reply in an unrelated lounge thread.

What gets skipped: “is the site down” when a notice is already posted, tag-team arguments, demands for an answer in ten minutes, and any post that includes someone’s personal information as “proof.” That last one is its own rule break. Read the rules before you attach anything.

Outages and slow loads are posted on Official Notices. If there is no notice, it is probably your session. Start with the login notes. A hundred identical “down?” threads do not move a fix faster.

Useful to see this written without the scolding tone. I almost replied to a pile-on yesterday because it looked like the only way to flag something. The report path is less visible than the argument, which is the problem.

It is less visible on purpose. Public pile-ons invite dogpiles and still fail to notify the queue. If the report control is hard to find, say so on the support floor as a navigation issue. That we will read.
