Work down the list. Check the username character by character, including dots and underscores. Try a private window so an old session cannot bounce you. Look in spam for the confirmation message and finish that step before you try to post. Turn off a strict blocker for one attempt if the form never finishes loading. Do not register a second account to “test” the first one. Do not post your password in a thread, a chat, or a screenshot.

Private window worked. The normal profile had a half-finished session that kept returning me to the form even after the password was right. Clearing cookies for the forum site, not the whole browser, fixed the normal window too.

Confirmation mail was under Promotions, not Spam, which is why I missed it. After I opened it, the “verify to post” banner went away. Writing that down because the word “spam” made me look in the wrong folder.

If you still cannot get in, post on this floor with the exact on-screen message, the browser you use, and whether the private window failed too. “It doesn’t work” will be asked to start over. Account limits that are actually moderation are a different path: read what staff reads and the rules before you describe it as a bug.

Bookmark simpcity.holiday if your old link rots. A dead bookmark feels like an outage and it is not. The colored buttons on the home page are the current way through.
